InVisable Light Photography

InVisable Light Photography I first became interested in photography back in the 90's whilst at college in Southport. This was my first taste of the wonders of a DSLR. I love a challenge!

At the time I became more interested in animation, than the kind of photography that I enjoy today. I remember the first time I saw a photograph of the Milky Way, it left me simply speechless and fixated on the image for what seemed, thinking back, an eternity. My parents always took my sister and I on holidays to Wales, and other places that were far away from the congestion of city life, seeing

the milky way as a child, left me with a life long lasting interest in the night sky. Being able to combine both stars and photography, was always something that I was destined to do. In 2007 I relocated to Newquay, Cornwall after the recession flattened my Joinery career. My passion for photography soon ignited, and with the constant support of my beautiful girlfriend and my amazing Facebook friends and followers, I was voted by the public as Winner in the 2017 'Muddy Awards' for 'Best Photographer'. My passion for photography grows everyday, I'm always seeking out new techniques or genres to broaden my ability's.

The stunning Lulworth Cove on the Jurrasic Coast.

We went for a walk from here to Durdle Door, got half way and in came the rain clouds to soak us through.

It did make for a pretty dramatic shot as the rain approached from behind the hills.

Durdle Door will have to wait for another day.

Sorry it has been a while since my last starry post, but with moving house, starting a new job and everything else that life has to throw at us, it hasn't been easy to get out late at night to shoot the stars, but we did manage a few hours out last night. We had to wait for a good 2 hours for the clouds to clear, then a battle with the light pollution, but I did manage a shot in the end.

This is Knowlton Church and Earthworks. A Norman Church, in the middle of a Neolithic ritual henge earthwork in Dorset, awesome. Sitting in these places that I go to quietly in the middle of the night, I like to imagine what it may have been like back then, if I had a time machine there are soooo many places/times Id love to go to, just for a little peek. My imagination is as close as I will get I guess, never mind.

After working away all week, I was hoping to find some left over snow for a few shots before it all melted, so we headed up to Minions last night just after dark to find the stone circles. It was still slightly snowing while we where up there, and the snow on the ground was still nice and fresh. Perfect.

I was wondering how much Colliford Lake had filled up over the winter, so after an early dart from work, I collected the Mrs and went for a walk around the lake to the dead trees. As you can see, it's full to the brim.

I finally got the chance to spend half an hour at Corfe Castle this morning, a place that Ive been keen to visit for some time. What a stunning place it is, a shame I couldn't spend any longer there but I'll certainly be visiting again.

It was nice to get out and stretch the legs down at Porth Nanven this evening just before sunset. 1 of my favourite locations in Cornwall, but I do have a long list of favourites to be honest.

Hello everyone, sorry it has been a while since I last posted an image. The bug caught up with me this evening so I headed down to Little Fistral before sunset.

The milkyway season is almost over, so I decided to go for a local journey to the north end of Bedruthan Steps so that I could get a shot of the milkyway over Newquay.

St Michaels Chapel on Rame Head near to Looe.

A slightly different way of taking the images this time, in an attempt to bring out more of the nebulosity colours, I'm very happy with the results. I do wish we could see it like this with our eyes and not just in photographs.

She is a thing of beauty our galaxy, I never tire of seeing her.
