9 years of marriage for us, where does the time go? From two crazy lovebirds getting engaged 4 months after meeting, married a year later, who would have thought we’d make it this far, well, we did! Through the highs and the lows, so proud of all we’ve created together 🤍 the big question, should we renew our vows next year for making it to 10?

I read something the other day about being a photographer and a mother, realising how quickly time passes, while simultaneously trying to freeze it for everyone else. It couldn’t be more true. I spend my days capturing memories for people, small moments in time that might otherwise slip by unnoticed while quietly grieving how quickly time with my own daughter is moving. It’s photographing tiny baby toes while realising my own baby is growing up. It’s documenting time spent with loved ones while losing some along the way. It’s witnessing the beauty of life’s seasons, even when they remind you how fleeting they are.

That’s what makes this work feel so incredibly special, but also incredibly bittersweet because the more you understand the value of a moment, the more aware you become that it’s already passing. And perhaps that’s exactly why photographs matter so much. They let us hold onto a little piece of what time tries to take.

That time of year when we always post this photo because 1. It’s rare we have a photo together EVER and the is one of the few self timers we have and 2. It’s our annual surf trip time 🌴 we have our out of office on and will have limited access to emails whilst we soak up our time off! We are still taking bookings and keeping up to date with anything time sensitive 🤍

We’ve been enjoying our down time in between wedding seasons, lots of beach play, time together as a family, taking bookings, doing our admin and updating our website slowly. It’s one of our favourite time of years to slow everything down, reset and be fully present before the pace picks up again. Such a blessing to know we can rest in the quiet and come back to another busy season. 🫶🏼✨
