The Story
My story evolves from being immersed in our ever-changing environment, nestled in nature, a continuously altering vision of new surroundings and endless routes. A turn of the key to let the world unwind beneath your eyes, following the lines of the highway to guide you to your destination. The freedom of being freelance, finding a pathway to a better way of life. Traveling uncommon grou
nd, seeking out the next destination to explore. Like an old map, layered with endless routes and surroundings filled with escapism, opportunity and life stories. Arriving at the destination with enough fuel left to keep moving forward. My passion to create visuals is fueled by my love of the open road, salty seas and the great outdoors. Creating moments and opportunity which shape every aspect of your life. In pursuit of a more fulfilling lifestyle, I left my 9-5 retail job in the city of Manchester back in 2016 and headed deep in the mountains for a fresh start and to finally kickstart my freelance career. It was in North Wales where Life Out There was born, surrounded by crisp sea air and rich scenery where I spent 4 years living in the seaside town of Llandudno before heading South to North East Somerset at the end of 2019, a short drive from the truly outstanding mendip hills and within distance of Bristol. Following my life pathway of eventually wanting to be closer to the Cornish coastline. Exploring the great outdoors started back in 2009, when my father bought our first 1979 VW campervan, with 4 others in the years that followed. this opened my eyes to the notion of traveling, adventure and meeting new people in such an iconic van. Keeping my love of classic cars alive since then, I’ve been lucky enough to own a 1972 austin mini van. A small space, of tranquil retreat, to compose the mind or explore the limitless surroundings of nature. Driving across the UK, discovering un-spoilt coastlines, and meeting like minded individuals, each with their own stories and journey - in miniature size. The stories of which, come from nostalgia, undocumented life experiences and a sense of being at one with the wonders of nature within the community it creates. The visuals I create, are influenced by 1960/70's culture, colours, freedom and lifestyle of creating a sense of nostalgia, of what once was. Memories formed from documenting moments that can be cherished for a lifetime. Each click of the camera explores how I see the world. This is my life, unscripted and documented through the lens.
