A couple of months ago I had the joyous opportunity to join a group of women on their Cornwall retreat with . Walking Cape Cornwall to Lands End and back again with my cameras was quite the feat, but I made it! Walking Women is an incredible company that brings women together, where lifelong connections are made and nurtured, whilst adventuring together and supporting each other every step of the way. It was just what I needed, at a time that was so serendipidous and I could have done the whole week with them.... my legs on the coastal path not so much.

Next month is my 16 year anniversary of being a wedding photographer. I photographed my very first wedding here in Newquay - even though I was living in 250 miles away. A ceremony in St Agnes and a reception back in Newquay harbour, now a mere 2 minutes from my home!

I've been spending a lot of this winter reflecting on the most incredible couples I have met and who's days they have trusted me to be a part of and capture.... what an incredible privledge!

Emma and Sam were married at the amazing and what a day it was. I had met Emma through capturing her friends wedding and then a couple of years later, I got to see both couples again when I was asked to photograph another of their friends days.... I LOVE the connections and trust that builds, it truly is such an honour.

I am loving delving back in the archives, and I plan to share some more of the past weddings that I have captured. It is so wonderful to look back on these days and feel so absorbed again in the wonderful people that have made every part of this 'job' such a joy!

Positives of getting married in Cornwall are many, but one of the things I love is how the weather! If its is a bit damp, the only bthing to do is embrace it and besides, it so rarely lasts the entire day! And when the skies lift and the sea goes turquoise... magic...
Sophie & Abi dealt with it all with the most beautiful smiles and I LOVED getting out with them in all weather.
