Celebrating 150 years of the Settle & Carlisle Railway today - The first passenger service operated on 1st May 1876 and the railway still stands strong to this day even after being on the brink of closure in the 1980’s.

Come rain or shine, the S&C has a climate of its own and never fails to make a dramatic scene with steam in the rugged landscape of the dales, hills and moorland 📸📸

Manchester Ship Canal scenes on the ELR yesterday afternoon and into the night!

32 ‘Gothenburg’ was at the head of a short goods consist with some prototypical wagons that would’ve been found on the MSC network, seen galloping along at Burrs and the newly cleared Touch Hill Cutting.

The night shots took place in Castlecroft Yard with 4002 ‘Arundel Castle’ joining the lineup to create some atmospheric memories of Mode Wheel Shed…

Stanier Class Five 45407 makes itself known as it erupts out of Barmoor Clough tunnel on the climb towards Dove Holes this afternoon. The Five certainly sounded well working hard on the old LNWR route to Buxton today!
