Yesterday was an absolutely scorcher up at Marshall Meadows where 65 of Luke and Charlotte’s favourite people in the world gathered for their wedding day.

We know we’ll sound like a broken record when we say “it was a super chilled day” as we write that about every wedding we photograph, but that’s simply because that’s the kind of couples we attract. Laid-back, relaxed and just wanting a great day.

Once the sun dropped a bit, we jumped in the car and headed down to a nearby harbour for some fresh air and a few photos by the water. This ended up being one of our favourites from the day.

To Charlotte and Luke, thank you for choosing us to be part of your day and we can’t thank you enough for everything. Congratulations!!

Mollie and Oscar

Yesterday was one of those wedding days where everything just kind of went perfectly. Well, almost.

Mollie and Oscar celebrated their wedding day at The Exchange in North Shields. In turns out there is also a place called The Exchange in Newcastle city centre, which is where Oscar’s dad rocked up by mistake. These things happen.

The day actually started perfectly when Chris arrived at Oscar’s to find a Pablo Egggobao bun waiting for him. The day had surely peaked?!

Well no. There was a whole lot of amazing day left and Mollie and Oscar organised quite the show. The day was filled will fun, laughter, the unexpected and a fantastic drag queen who took the day by storm.

We’ve so much love for these two (and their little dog Romeo) and it was a genuine privilege to capture their day.

Congratulations guys and thank you for an amazing day!

It’s been two weeks now since Amber and Shannon married at Le Petit Chateau and we are the absolutely privilege of being there to document it for them.

From broken bridesmaids dresses all the way to bubble machine, this was one of the coolest, most laid-back weddings we’ve ever been part of and we loved every minute of it.

We made this little video so you can see exactly why we loved being part of it

This is one of the things we love about shooting weddings in the city. You can be heading from one place to another and suddenly stumble across somewhere that just works. No big plan behind it. Just good light, unreal colours and a couple who made our job very easy.

While Shazia was in Newcastle yesterday, Chris was busy braving the chilly wind up at Barn on the Bay.

The happy couple braving the cold were Stu and Melanie, who married on the dunes overlooking the Northumberland coastline.

Guests spent most of their day keeping warm in the barn while Stu, Melanie and Chris braved the North Eastern weather to head down to the beach for some couple portraits. It was well worth it as the conditions were perfect and in turn, we managed to capture this shot of them both together.

Thank you for having us and congratulations to you both once again!

Yesterday was a double wedding day for us. Two completely different celebrations, two completely different vibes, and honestly that’s exactly why we love this job so much.

First up was Alice and Dan who tied the knot at Newcastle Civic Centre with just four guests there to witness it all ahead of the bigger celebration they’ve got planned for next year. Super stripped back and relaxed and completely focused on just having a good time together.

After the ceremony we headed into town for a quick pub stop where frozen margaritas and alcoholic ginger beer were very much the priority over anything overly formal. No rushing around, no packed schedule, just hanging out, having a laugh and soaking it all in properly. Exactly how a wedding day should feel.

They finished things off with tapas afterwards which felt very on brand for the whole day. Good food, good drinks and a really easygoing atmosphere from start to finish.

Massive congratulations again to Alice and Dan. We had such a fun time hanging out with you both and we’re already excited for round two next year.

AN action packed day waited for us when we photographed Becca and Callum’s wedding at the start of May.

We split our time for the prep, with Shazia over at Dalton Pump House with the girls and Chris in Washington Village with the lads.

After a cheeky visit to the pub on the way to the church, it was non-stop from there. The only time we hit pause was while guests enjoyed their wedding breakfast. It was a whirlwind from start to finish and we were so happy to be part of it!

It’s been just over a week now since we photographed Georgia and Theo’s wedding at Le Petit Chateau.

DnD lovers, Die Hard fans (sort of) and just all around amazing peoples, Georgia and Theo rolled initiative on the rest of their lives together and while their ceremony dice might have said 19 and 17, they’ve both rolled a nat 20 finding each other.

Here’s a little video of their wedding day!

We’ll take a bit of wind over still air any day.

It just adds something, movement, a bit of chaos like right here! It always makes everything feel less posed and more natural.

Some of our favourite shots come from those slightly windswept moments where you’re laughing through it rather than trying to fix it.

So if the forecast’s looking a bit breezy on your wedding day, we’re not complaining.
