So, since roughly early February, me and Michelle have been going regularly to the Open Mic Night at The Exchange and have had many a good night there. I once asked if I could photo the acts, purely for practice and fun. I was told yes and that was that. It became a regular thing, we made many new and good friends and I can't help but look forward to every Monday night. I put the photos I take on the private group that the Open Mic night has but thought I should share some here as well.

A new Open Mic event in Tynemouth, in the beautiful land of green ginger too! This night kicked off with the utterly amazing Melissa and Keith, with Mal doing a great job on the sound!

So, I'm an amateur, an enthusiast photographer at this stage. It's one of the few things in life that make me want to go out and just do it, one of the few things that spark a passion, so to speak. A lovely occasion celebrated with dear friends, with a twist. A Victorian Steampunk twist. The day was warm and sunny, the food was lovely, the Victorian punch provided by a certain someone was so very strong. How was it described? Like a Christmas cake that pi**ed into a sugar bowl? In a good way, though.

What an amazing exhibition from a super talented photographer, I only wish I could be half as good as this guy!

Some amazing photos showing rock and metal gigs, a class fire performer whose name I frustratingly cannot remember but I know she is a part of Dracarys - Fire & Aerial Performers and it was amazing to see.

I really hope to see more from Jamie in the near future, it was a great night.
