Superb evening for the 15 years of rocking horse studios celebration .... First time I've been to the new building and it's a great space .... Perfect set up for bars, beats and melody's ..... Jeeps of Bali - exactly what it says on the tin - Jeeps I spotted in Bali - things have been a bit all over the place the last few months but there is still so many Bali photos i can work through .... hope we're all ok out there in the madness of the world right now.

It was a Pleasure to be asked to take the photos for The Driven Serious photo shoot at finchale abbey on the 10th .... It was a super fun day capturing the guys in this historic ruins albeit a brisk one due to the dusting of snow and low winter sun .... go and check out their page for up and coming Gigs and if you've never been to finchale priory it's set in a stunning location on the banks of the river wear with a quaint little cafe serving warm drinks and snacks to warm the cockles on a cold winters day ..... Had such a great time yesterday at finchale priory ... The low mid winter sun cast such a beautiful light over the ruins and the frosting of snow on the ground gave that extra sparkle ..... It was a pleasure to be asked to capture Driven Serious photoshoot we got some great pictures ...... It was cold but everyone really enjoyed it in such a stunning place

Happy new years eve everyone!!

Thanks for following, Liking, sharing if you have this year I wanted to share two photos today, one you will have probably seen but the second one the monochrome image you wont.

Both of Bali, A place that totally captivated me, we had such a wonderful time and the culture, people and scenery won our hearts, the second picture is relevant because we went out for food one day and found a quite fancy Italians where we ate ... over a very busy road children were selling merchandise to passing tourists and there was quite a juxtaposition with us sitting at a table drinking cocktails and eating fine food to the two kids selling merchandise for pennies, it put things into perspective, who knows the backgrounds of these kids but it did make me think and appreciate how lucky i've been.

I feel like I'm at a bit of a crossroads photography wise I'm not really sure where my path is taking me right now and I hope 2026 offers me some opportunities but maybe i just have to kick myself up the arse and get out with the camera more just for the enjoyment of it.

Thanks to all who take an interest though I hope this year has been kind to you all and the next year is even kinder.

Umah Bali Kuno coffee plantation - Bali

This small plantation is a true ethnographic museum with living exhibits. It is located right inside a traditional Balinese courtyard, and all the workers are members of one family. You'll be welcomed with traditional music played on the angklung, shown around the living quarters, family temple, and offerings to the spirits in small baskets (you can even try folding them yourself). Everywhere you'll see exhibits of old traditional items with labels, and they will guide you through the main tour of coffee bean processing and roasting. On the wooden terrace, you can enjoy drinks and have a cappuccino (as in other places, there are no coffee machines, only traditional types of coffee)

Good afternoon .... I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend ... Let's continue my journey through Bali !!! .... On the 3rd of July we visited one of two rice terraces over our stay .... Rice is an absolutely integral part of Bali life whether it be in the fields or the terraces that attract the tourists ..... You can't turn any corner without it leading the way to rice .... This particular plantation as with many was laid out over a valley and the rice field was layered from bottom to the top .... A popular tourist destination with the addition of a magic carpet ride .... Birds nest ... And a rice field swing which sent you out over the fields (optional extras being the train and dress you can add for dramatic effect) ...... Additional cats because they were there ........... I can't believe it seems like so long ago since we were there !!
