We get that not everyone can afford a professional photographer! If you decide to go down the DIY route for your property here are some helpful tips to make sure you get the best photos for your listing:
1 - Use a wide angle lens for room shots but don't forget to grab some close ups too! Features like this chair really add a lot of character to a space, highlighting details like these can really help your listing stand out.
2 - Pay attention to your vertical lines. 90% of the photos I take are composed parallel to the ground to avoid unnatural perspective distortion. Use an electronic level meter for best results, and fine tune in post if you have to.
3 - Don't neglect the editing process. Even my best photos require a bit of editing in post, whether that be colour correction, adjusting for multiple exposure levels, or just adding a bit of punch.
Using these tips will definitely help your listing stand out from the competition, but for best results we still recommend using a professional photographer!
