Finally! Seems an age since I’ve managed to capture a at WWT Washington Wetland Centre.

A sparrow hawk flew through Hawthorn Wood Hide and as per usual all the small birds disappeared. After a while could hear a willow tit and spied it 😍

Should I have used a tripod…yes.
Were the midges feasting on me…yes!

As a result, handheld shot, bracketed on my 180-600mm lens. Outside for 5 mins, over a week later and the bites have nearly gone. 🤣

My final post for now from Woodland Hide is a that visited the hide a fair bit and getting quite close.

It was harsh midday sun on the hottest day so far this year but also resulted in a chance to play around with exposure compensation. 😊
