Is this camera complete overkill for a robin? Probably. 😂📸
But then this little character landed in front of the lens…
Robins are one of those birds that feel like they have a personality. They’re curious, confident, and somehow always seem to be watching what you’re doing.
That’s what makes wildlife photography so rewarding — it’s not just about getting a sharp image. It’s about capturing those tiny moments that show an animal’s behaviour.
The head tilt.
The curious look.
The little pause before they hop away.
A few robin facts:
🐦 Robins defend their territory all year round, and that famous red breast is actually a warning to rivals.
🎵 Unlike many birds, both male and female robins sing.
🌅 They’re often one of the first birds singing in the morning.
👀 Their curiosity is legendary — many robins will investigate people working in gardens.
So yes… the camera might be overkill.
But for moments like this? It’s absolutely worth it. 🐦
