The quickest way to grow stale as a photographer is to keep proving the same idea to yourself. Want to make your landscapes pop with real depth? I use one simple trick: add a strong foreground element to lead the eye. Try this on your next shoot in Newark or out in Scotland - the difference is immediate. Here’s how I do it in three practical steps: 1) Scout for a foreground subject (rocks, reeds, a path) that contrasts with midground and background. 2) Get low, frame the foreground large, and use a small aperture (f/8-f/16) so everything stays sharp. 3) Use a slow shutter or subtle movement to add texture, then bracket exposures if the sky is bright. before-and-after? Looking to speed up your learning? My hands-on workshops give live feedback in real shooting conditions, so you master placement, aperture and composition faster. Ready to try this on your next local shoot around Newark or on a trip to Scotland? Visit https://wix.to/6cab4tR to see examples and book a workshop. Which location would you test this on first - Newark or Scotland? 📷🌄
