First off, hello if we haven't spoken for a while, I am though asking a favour, but also you never know, you might find something you would want on your wall or in your book collection. Please read on.
A lot of you will know that aviation has always been my interest and it is now my career. I write and photograph about aviation for magazines around the world including the prestigious Aerospace - The journal for the Royal Aeronautical Society as well as writing three books of my own.
I am also now a trained aircraft simulator instructor with nearly 1500 hours on a combination of Avro Vulcan, Boeing 737 and Spitfire.
I commentate on the comings and goings at Manchester Airports Runway Visitor Park on some weekends
One further thing that I do is run shop selling not only my three books but aviation art and memorabilia. Not all of it just for the enthusiast however hence my initial comment above.
So I ask if you would take a look to see if you are interested, either for you or somebody you know, also importantly please pass it on to your friends so they can do the same. Having been given the opportunity to sample the Saal Digital Professional Line Photo Book, here is a short review in the process. Downloading the software to create the book was simple enough and despite a crash on first use it was perfectly stable from then on. Saal provide videos on how to use the software which was really useful. I found the templates for pages not as intuitive as they might be, it seemed that you have to use one of the layouts high include rather tacky designs included. However I decided to use the self layout option also using the text and object boxes which made the job really easy. Ordering was easy and I was given an estimated delivery date. Unfortunately this was not met and once the book was shipped this had slipped by 5 days although it actually came a little earlier than this latter estimate. There was a little damage to the spine on arrival even though it seemed to be packed ok. The quality of the book itself though is excellent room the interesting acrylic cover through the heavy gauge and reproduction of the photo pages. Images were sharp and colourful (although the cover titles were supposed to be white but had a somewhat of a cast to them). When images crossed over both pages the lie flat pages worked well with it difficult to see the join. The books are quite expensive. Mine was 44 pages and cost £110 inc carriage so it would definitely be a premium product. Overall a great product for a specific market segment.

Like very many others, when lockdown was announced in March 2020 I lost 95% of my business overnight. So I decided to use the enforced break to write my second book. I am happy to announce that pretty much 12 months to the day it has arrived on my doorstep and will be available to buy from the end of the month. Lost Airline Colours of Asia is all about the continents airlines that are no longer with us or that have undergone a rebranding or two over the years. With colour pictures from my archives throughout, this book has at least one airline from each of the countries in Asia (Well actually bar one but I will let you buy the book to find out which one and why!) showing these lost liveries along with a brief history. I am really pleased to have got this from concept to publication in such a short time and my thanks go to all concerned who made this happen. I hope you enjoy it too should you buy a copy.
