Oh gosh where does time go? Christmas and New Year have been and gone and I'm heading for yet another year older. So much has happened in the last few months but I have been taking a few images. The weather has been wet and cold but interspersed with a few good days. How has your year of 2025 started for you and what are your plans? I am hoping to do a lot more cruising this year.

What a summer it's been with lots of things going on. Revelations, forgiveness, self-healing , learning journeys, solo parenting, and dealing with DVLA ( a whole other saga of its own!!). We are now heading fully into winter with floods this weekend due to Storm Bert. But now I look forward to crispy frost patterns, sunrises and sunsets that are bright and misty at times and of course who wouldn't take a photo of a Robin? Do you have something you like about winter days?

Well my knee is 6 months in, my life is manic being mum taxi, we have a new member in Oscar the horse I brought for girly and it's been so far a 6 months of boat maintenance, body maintenance and money outlay!! However I forget all that when we have evenings like this.

The evenings are getting lighter and the days warmer. I'm still battling with my knee to get this bend and stop the muscles locking up. I miss my DSLR camera but maybe once I know I can get down on the floor and get back up again I will retrieve it from it's storage. However for now it's my phone that's taking images.

Well it's been a long 6 weeks but I'm finally allowed to drive short distances. My knee is doing well with 100° bend but it's not totally locking straight so have 6 weeks of physio to help with that. I have discovered I can steer the boat for short periods too. So here are a few images from February.

2024. What are we going to do this year? We'll I'm going to try post more, try to get out more and most of all just enjoy life. Right now I'm recovering from a full knee replacement on my left knee which means I cannot drive for 4 to 6 weeks!! However I'm luck to be moored in a most amazing spot so hopefully you won't get bored with the same images. Here are a few taken over the last few weeks.

Photography is art and Canal Art by Ruth is just amazing at her canal art. I should know I own a couple of her pieces!! Perhaps a different Christmas gift for some one?

I am not doing a calendar this year as my head has not been in the right place. I would recommend the beautiful calendars by Kev Maslin to you. This year they are In memory of Rick on Auriga who was a fabulous gentleman on the coal boats and a friend.
