Late flowers for bees.
This mild weather has brought the bees out again and we are so grateful for late flowers in the garden. Many annuals, like these zinnia, are still looking great and helping the bees.

The rose garden looking absolutely lovely. One year old. The last couple of photos were taken last year when a huge overgrown Laurel was cut down and we decided to use the area to make a rose border with Acers and Nepeta. We are really pleased with the result.
It looks delightful and really belongs there. I wish you could smell it too.

This year’s experiment to grow wild flowers at the side of the old pig shed has been a joy. The odd self seeded Bill Wallis, campanula, aquilegia and knautia have joined in too. A narrow path takes you through to the very little used old gate. I am ignoring the odd nettle.
