🐘 Elmer’s Art Parade 🐘
I finally had a chance to do the outdoor art sculpture trail (finishes 31st August) of a herd of Elmer’s (the patchwork elephant) all designed by different artists from around the world. This trail is brilliant for a family friendly or solo activity, taking you from Xscape, the theatre, MK Gallery, all the way through centre MK, Fred Roche Gardens, the Hub and Grafton Park. Only two elephants not pictured in my slides here are Midsummer Place and Xscape. Such a great walk and lovely to see all the very different Elmer’s! 🖼️🎨🐘

✨Lodge Lake, Milton Keynes✨
A return visit to one of my favourite places to walk in MK and I was delighted to come across the wildflowers and this Painted Lady butterfly 🦋😍 Did you know these butterflies aren’t permanent residents of the UK? They migrate north each summer from Africa, the Middle East and Southern Europe.

✨Stonepit Fields and Howe Park Wood✨
It’s the perfect season to look for beautiful butterflies 🦋 and this is exactly what I’ve been doing recently on my walks. Spotted this gorgeous Common Blue and Speckled Wood, in Milton Keynes recently.

✨Kislingbury Sunnies And Spooks, Northamptonshire✨🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

A visit to the beautiful sunflower fields in Northamptonshire last weekend, just before they closed for the season. I was able to pick my own and as instructed by the staff there, picked those that hadn’t quite opened yet and have enjoyed them blooming all week.

✨Sea Life Centre Hunstanton, July 2026✨
Penguins are one of my absolute favourites birds and being able to get up close to the Humboldt Penguins (native to Peru and Chile); at Sea life in Hunstanton was incredible!
We got to see them being fed and watch their adorable behaviour with each other, in their enclosure.

I love visiting Shepreth Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire, it is such a beautiful space, with brilliant caring staff & so many wonderful animals (especially Capybaras!🤎) Most recently visited last month.

Beautiful Sunday morning walk in my favourite spot; the Floodplains Nature reserve, Wolverton. Lots of birds about including an Oystercatcher in flight (not featured sadly)! Here are my favourites from the walk, including a Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly 🦋 & a wonderful little Dunnock 🐦

A brilliant day last Sunday 7/6/26 at the Vintage Stony / Classic Stony vehicle festivals event in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes. 🚘🛵🛞🐶
Cars and vehicles from various decades on display in the high street and market square, and a few dogs too!
