Wandering out around Emsworth harbour I saw a flock. Googled it. Black-tailed godwits apparently. Looks like a huge flock but it was 12ish birds and this was a 4 shot panorama stiched and made a good view of a decent flock

Always time for a capture. The rain lashed down as I was tearing down my exhibit at the Burford Gift Fair... "darn it" I muttered. While figuring out how to protect my frames I spotted this lovely lined walkway through the grounds of St John's in Burford with the rain invigorating the colours of the leaves on the floor. Thanks to the countless visitors and chats in the hall my sore throat is still yet to recover 24 hours later. The 6 hour fair seemed daunting but time whizzed by.. thanks also to for the opportunity to take part

Velvet Shank mushrooms so Google tells me. These fellas pop up each Autumn on the stump of our old Cabernet vine stump in the garden. I wonder if they will have a hint of red wine about them? Inspired by 2 recent Youtube videos from the fabulously talented and I decided to work with not only the dappled light through the crooked hazel but also with a couple of my Small Rig lights with snoots... The nerdy bit ..Nikon z7ii and ZC105 macro f29 1/2s at full 105mm 6 shot stack.. velutipes

Another from Boxgrove Priory. From a distance the light coming through the window stain looked different to the others and I had to have a look. This stain is sllely in memory of a WW2 American volunteer, William Meade Lindsley Fiske III (thankfully Billy to his fellow fliers) killed during the Battle of Britain, Hurricane pilot in 601 Squadron defending a place that wasnt his natural homeland. The light shone through, cutting across the normal red and gold of the traditional stains, for me it created a highlight worthy of lifting his profile through social media. Respect.
