Mepal & District Camera Club

Dear members and friends.

After much thought and discussions with one or two of you it is of the opinion that the Mepal and District Camera Club is wound up as there is very little interest in continuing, despite the efforts of some members.

Of course, I would like to stay in touch with you all as we have also built up a friendship over the years and propose that we keep the MDCC Private page open for uploads and discussions. The public page needs to be taken down as there will be no point in advertising something that doesn’t exist.

With all this in mind I also propose that we have an EGM, be it at a pub or on a Zoom/Teams/Google Meet whichever you prefer? The Three Pickerels plans to open very soon as they have paying guests booked in November so perhaps, we could have a last hoorah there during the week when it may be less busy?

This then leads me onto the club funds and as per the constitution the remainder will be donated to a charity of our choice, unless anyone has any preference, I propose that it goes to Macmillan Cancer Trust?

Dear members and friends.

I understand that this is a bit short notice and lots of you are busy, but would you be available on Thursday 15th September for an informal meeting in the Cross Keys Chatteris?

I want to get clarification on what’s happening with the club, if anything, as it would be a shame to let it slip into oblivion.

On Tuesday 2nd August 2022 at 19:00 we have been kindly granted exclusive access to take some images in and around St Mary's Church Mepal. This is open to anyone that would like to attend, not just members

Please make an effort to attend if you can, plus it would be good to see you all.
