Þingvellir National Park, Iceland in autumn. I never knew how much colour I would find in Iceland. I knew about the volcanic landscapes, the glaciers, black beaches and waterfalls. But there is so much more to find. Don’t get me wrong, all the other stuff is SPECTACULAR, and I’ll be posting plenty of images with all of that. But for my first Iceland posts I wanted to share these more subtle scenes.

Golden hour in September never disappoints. I’ve just returned from Iceland which was beyond spectacular, but while I edit the shots from there I thought I’d post these lovely local scenes from an early evening stroll a couple of weeks back.

first time out with my new NiSi JetMag Pro filters NiSi UK. I’ve got the CPL on here and it’s looking great so far. Really secure fit on the lens and super easy to use.

Around this time last year I was on the beach of the beautiful resort of Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam. I’m travelling again soon, this time I’ll be having a very different experience in Iceland! I never stop appreciating how lucky I am to work in an industry that allows me to have this incredible experiences.

Goodbye summer, hello autumn 🍂 here are some of my favourite shots from autumn / fall over the years. An exciting time for landscape and woodland photographers! Bring on beautiful foliage, misty mornings and loads of colour.

Very excited and proud to contribute to this month’s edition of FUJILOVE Magazine with a photo essay entitled “I found my creative soul somewhere in the woods”. The wonderful team at Fujilove have not only featured some of my favourite woodland shots but also chosen one of my images for the cover! Humbled to be featured and alongside so many other talented photographers too. Thank you so much to Fujilove and if you would like to get a copy you can subscribe via FUJILOVE Magazine profile.

heather season ~ I’m not around to enjoy it this year so I took a look back through the archives. Here are a few of my favourites of Heather in full bloom in the Peak District.

the last stand ~ I can’t help but feel quite devastated by the loss of woodland habitat even if it is part of a managed forest. I’ve included the last image of this set because I love how the remaining woodland appears defiant against the logging, like defenders of their realm.

Tiger striped sky ~ some beautifully delicate, almost UFO like, stratus clouds during a magical sunset.
