Doubt we will have any more scenes like this now despite the false spring. These were taken after the snow flurry in January at the Roundway/Oliver's castle.
Sadly I haven't had the chance to get out and do much photography yet despite having a shiny new camera to play with, but that's just the way things go sometimes!

Blessed (& belated) Solstice all :) The Strawberry moon showing it's well timed face last night, sadly I missed all the lovely sky colours as the sunset quickly turned from pink to blue. Morgans Hill and furze knoll below the moon, composites using different exposures.

You must be fed up of Aurora pictures now!

I haven't been feeling too amazing for the last few days, it's taken me a few days to get around to looking through my pictures properly, having realised that the last batch I posted at 1.30am on Saturday were saved with the wrong colour profile and made things look a lot more orange than they were (doh)! These pictures are more true to the eye, we managed to see the light pillars dancing above our heads and bursts of colour popping through, it was quiet incredible - I will post a photo in the comments a bit more representative of how it looked to our naked eyes!

The lights got so bright, lighting up the ground like a colourful full moon, I had to change my settings from 10 seconds ISO1600, down to 8s 1000iso.

These are taken in the NW quadrant of the circle, I couldn't walk far so it was handy being near the car park, but it's also my favourite part of the circle for some reason! As soon as we stepped into the circle the aurora really kicked off, perfectly magical timing!

I have over 200 photos, it's too difficult to choose but amazing to see the lights dance across the sky when you flick through the pictures after watching them do so above your head! What an incredible experience, all colours visible to the naked eye, obviously not quite as vivid, I've waited my whole life to see this!
I am still soggy after rolling around on the grass in Avebury, soo worth it!

Blessed Beltane everyone!
Finally, it feels like spring again!

This is part of cycle network 403, part of the section that runs from from Castlefields in Calne and to Stanley. This particular copse is called Bodnage Copse, small but stunning!

The wild garlic flowers still out in full force and what remains the bluebells, with all of these wonderful scents of spring filling the air and nothing but the sound of bird song, it was a lovely walk to refresh the mind and senses!
