Capturing a wedding is about finding the perfect balance between beautiful direction and reading the quiet dynamics of the room. It is about creating a space where you can completely be yourselves.

For me, the magic happens in creating deep contrast imagery that feels like a still from a classic film. Getting those shots requires more than just a camera. It requires a tailored approach and dedicated personal assistance. As a neurodivergent photographer, I know how important it is to adapt to different sensory needs and keep the timeline low pressure. Whether I am gently directing a dramatic portrait or stepping back to capture unscripted moments, by providing a steady, grounding presence throughout the day, the goal is always the same: ensuring you feel entirely supported so your genuine story can come through.

At the start of every session, I always tell my couples to just be themselves. But I know that is easier said than done when a camera is pointed at you. That is exactly why the pre wedding shoot is so valuable. It is a relaxed practice run. We walk, we chat, and you get used to how I work. By the time I turned up to Mia and Kai's wedding on Saturday, there was zero awkwardness. They could genuinely just be themselves, leaving me free to focus on the light and the composition.

When Mia and Kai were let down by their original photographer just two weeks before their wedding, we fast tracked a pre wedding session at Delapre Abbey to break the ice and build our working rapport.
The true value of these sessions is seeing the exact moment a couple completely relaxes in front of the lens. By the time the sun dipped below the tree line, any camera anxiety was entirely replaced by genuine, unforced connection.
The foundation is now perfectly set, and I am incredibly excited to capture their wedding day this Saturday.
