Some weddings just feel like a proper celebration from the moment you walk in.

Shannon & Greg’s day at Hellaby Hall Hotel was exactly that.

Big smiles, emotional bits, loud laughs, and those in-between moments that nobody plans but everyone remembers.

The kind of day where everything just flows, and you can tell they’re completely surrounded by their people.

What a wedding! ☀️🥂

The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing, and the gardens were full of family and friends making the most of a beautiful spring day.

It was such a pleasure to be back at Cockliffe Country House at the end of April, one of those venues that always feels like coming back to old friends.

From the big moments to the little in-between ones, this day was packed with laughter, happy tears, and plenty of reasons to keep reaching for my camera, there were so many moments I loved from this Wedding. The fact that their little Daughter was helping Mummy put her shoes on was just too cute for words.
And the daddy Daughter first look, ohh his face 💛

I've had a few chats recently that all circle back to the same thing.

“Can you describe your photography style?”

And honestly… I always pause before answering that one.

Because the truth is, I don’t sit neatly in one box. And I’m actually really glad I don’t.

Some weddings call for a documentary approach, just stepping back and letting the day unfold. Others need a bit more guidance, especially in those portrait moments when everyone’s feeling a bit awkward and just wants it done quickly so they can get back to the fun.

Then there are newborn sessions, where it’s all about patience, detail, and slowing right down. Completely different energy, same heart behind it.

I’ve just written a new blog all about this, why I don’t fit into just one wedding photography style, and why that flexibility actually matters more than people think when choosing a photographer.

One of my album suppliers has announced a price increase, with products going up by between 5% and 20%, depending on what’s being ordered.
