🏁 DRIFTLAND RECAP // DRIFT LEAGUE GB ROUND 2 🏁 2026

As with every livestream event, this one actually started long before we arrived at the track. At home, I was already planning improvements and thinking about how we could make the broadcast even better for the viewers. The main idea for this round was introducing a dedicated mobile start line operator, along with a few other changes to make the audience feel even closer to the action.

Thursday, 4th June, started at 6:00 AM. After a six-hour drive, I finally arrived at Driftland, and by around 8:00 PM I was already setting everything up for the livestream.

Friday started at 7:00 AM, continuing the work from the night before. Later that evening, the rest of the team arrived, and together we spent the entire day preparing. Cables, internet, camera positions, an extra GoPro finish-line angle and countless small details. By 9:00 PM we had almost everything ready, leaving only a few minor jobs for Saturday morning before the Class 2 competition.

Saturday morning we were back at the circuit at 8:00 AM. I decided that we could push the production quality even further, so I found Brandon Joseph and we went to interview a few Class 2 drivers. The plan was to integrate those interviews into the opening of the livestream.

What I didn’t realise at the time was that the “small jobs” we had left from the previous day would take far longer than expected. Suddenly everything became a rush, and we found ourselves around 30 minutes behind schedule.

But somehow… we still went live on time.

The whole team stepped up, we caught up on everything we had lost, and the broadcast ran smoothly. We had a couple of technical issues throughout the day, but this is where experience really matters. Problems happen, but knowing how to solve them quickly is what makes the difference.

We finished Day 1 feeling proud of what we had achieved, and by around 8:00 PM we were finally able to head back to the hotel.

Sunday was Class 1 day.

Although qualifying didn’t start until 1:00 PM, our day began at 7:30 AM. We checked every cable, every camera, every connection and made a few final improvements before going live.

Everything was running perfectly…

…until, right in the middle of the competition, our main production computer completely froze and shut down.

Moments like that really show what a team is made of.

Everyone knew exactly what they had to do. We reacted instantly, recovered the entire system and got the broadcast back online so quickly that only the most attentive viewers probably noticed a few seconds of a black screen.

After that little heart attack, the rest of the day went perfectly, and we successfully wrapped up another incredible Drift League GB weekend.

I couldn’t be prouder of what the Reinhold Media team achieved.

First of all, thank you to my wife,
Līga Reinholde ❤️❤️❤️
She was probably the only person who managed to capture the one thing everyone else missed. 😁 (You’ll find out what that was very soon.) Thank you for always supporting me, for getting involved, and for believing in even my craziest ideas.

Andis Osis continues to amaze me. Watching how quickly he learns, adapts and helps implement new ideas in our livestream production honestly leaves me speechless. Simply… wow.

Gatis Osis proved once again how quickly someone can adapt. Holding a camera at the start line for the first time, with drift cars flying past, watching a tiny monitor, listening to instructions over the radio and still capturing the right shots takes real focus.

A huge thank you to our static camera operators, Eve Pike and Inese Trektere. They arrive, know exactly what needs to be done, adapt to everything happening around the circuit and always manage to capture the most important moments.

Special thanks also go to our FPV pilot, Kristaps Skujins. (By the way, he’s not in the team photo because he had to leave early.) He’s always there to capture those incredible aerial shots that add something special to every production.

I also want to thank Gordon Mcisaac-gtec. Without him, this post wouldn’t even exist. He’s the person behind making all of this happen, and the amount of work he puts into Drift League GB is impossible to describe. Massive respect.

And finally, thank you to the entire Drift League GB team, who work together like one big machine, where every single person’s role matters.

And to everyone who watches, follows and supports us — thank you. Your support is the reason we keep pushing ourselves to improve every single event.

See you all at the next round. 🎥🔥

📺 RECAP – Drift League GB 2026 Round 1 | Three Sisters, Wigan

As many of you already know, this season marks a huge step for us — we’ve officially secured a full 2026 season contract with DLGB, together with the man behind it all, Gordon Mcisaac-gtec
We’re proud — and honestly a bit blown away — that we’ve managed to prove ourselves in such a short time.

After everything we learned last season, this round felt different.

Not perfect — but close.
Saturday ran at around 90%, and Sunday pushed it to a solid 98%.
And that’s the key — there’s always room to improve, always something to chase.

This time, everything came together at Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan for Round 1.

🎥 Team & Ex*****on

This year we’ve made small but solid changes to the team — and it shows.

The most important person in the entire operation?
My wife, Līga Reinholde
Non-stop in the pits, filming drivers, capturing eмоtions, building something much bigger.
She’s been investing everything into an upcoming Reinhold Media project for the past 7 months…
What is it? You’ll find out very soon. 🫣

HQ Assistant – Andis Osis
I still can’t believe how quickly he adapted. Learning, reacting, solving problems on the fly — exactly what this role demands.

Camera Operators – Inese Trektere & Eve Pike
Within just one hour, they built perfect communication and transitions between shots — even with heavy tyre smoke and unpredictable wind constantly blocking visibility.

On Run – Gatis Osis
Always in position.
At times it felt like he knew problems before they even happened — already there, already solving.

FPV Pilots – Kristaps Skujins & Toby Allen
As always — flawless.
These guys are the backbone of the visual energy in our stream.

⚙️ Performance

Compared to last year, this was a different level.

The stream stayed stable, the workflow was smooth, and most importantly — the team operated as one unit.
Not everything went 100% perfectly, but the difference is how fast issues get solved — and this weekend proved we’re ready.

🚀 What’s next?

Round 2 – Driftland
📅 6–7 June 2026

As always, we’re not standing still.
We already have improvements planned — including additional cameras and further upgrades to push the production even higher.
