Slowmo captured high-speed weapon firings for the new Armed and Deadly series on Channel 5. We used the Photron SAX2 colour high-speed camera capturing at 22500fps at 1024 x 576 resolution.

The series examines high-profile operations and questions the behaviour of the police.

Next up is the Isle of Man TT. I filmed some sequences for the 3DTT: Closer to the Edge film back in 2011. An amazing event to watch live and one of the most interesting shoots I've been part of. They are going so fast, all you see is a blur. When you film them with a high speed camera, you realise that they are not only going at 200mph but they are doing a wheelie at the same time!

People always ask what has been the best thing I've filmed in slow motion. Well, I can't pin it down to just one shot out of thousands, so I thought I would post some of my personal favourites.

We begin with the hummingbird hawkmoth shot for the BBC in wildlife cameraman, Alastair Macewen's, back garden, about 10 years ago now. Wonderfully composed sequence. The remarkable thing is that the hawkmoth, flys around the flower and feeds and does it all in 0.8 of a second!
