I had the pleasure of meeting a few weeks back, such a lovely guy perhaps you could say he’s a …. Gentlemen? I’d started watching The Gentlemen on Netflix a few days before he came in for the shoot and it was crazy fun to talk all about the antics on set, what it was like to work with Guy Ritchie and all the tid bits of filming the best thing I’ve seen this year. Next can we please get Theo James to drop by 👀

Welcome to February. It’s been a busy old start to the year and I realised I haven’t posted anything for the whole of January! So here’s a portrait of the one and only oh wait no I mean David Platt, wait… no it’s defo Jack. 💯 Jack for sure. I had the chance to grab this image in the last 30 seconds of a shoot for a podcast that Jack hosts along with Colson Smith & Ben Price

What a fun shoot and great to have each of the lads time at the end to indulge my request for a quick individual portrait.

If you’ve shot with me in the past few months I might have mentioned something about moving to a new studio this year… well it finally happened and last week was my first few days of shooting in the new space. I’m in process of setting it up as a permanent space whilst I get used to it but wanted to share these images of the communal areas which I just absolutely love at

It’s defo giving chill creative vibes and it’s exciting to see how the space will grow and fill with other makers, artists and businesses over the next year. As a bonus the coffee spots and places for lunch around are 🤌🏻 Its defo a little upgrade from the old place 😁

I recently got to shoot with .antwi whilst she was in Manchester for the of Quiz at The Lowry. Turns out she was the understudy & swing for Hermione Granger in The Cursed Child when we went to see it back in 2019 for Emma’s 30th birthday what a small world.

Valerie mentioned she wanted to try something a little different in the session and brought out a beautiful colourful hair wrap and I instantly knew I wanted to shoot a specific type of portrait of her wearing it. Love how this turned out, the slight regal vibe, the texture of the wrap and those earrings 🤌🏻

On the 26th of September (10 DAYS!) I'll be taking part in an Ironman Triathlon 🏊🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️

The challenge is to complete a 1.9k swim followed by a 91k bike ride then onto the finish with a 21.1k run - or you could think of it as 76 lengths of a pool, cycling from Manchester to Blackpool and running a half marathon, all to be finished up in 8 hours.

I'm taking on this challenge to help fundraise for Breast Cancer Now, a charity that helped tremendously throughout and after Emma's treatment when she was diagnosed back in 2019.

So far my amazing friends and family have donated £485 towards my target of £703 (70.3 miles to race) If you can spare anything it would be greatly appreciated but I'd love it if you could share this post to reach far and wide 🙏🏻

🎀 Today is wear it pink for Breast Cancer Now, an amazing charity that really make a difference to so many people that have been affected by breast cancer.

We don’t shout about it so much but for the past 2 years my wife Emma has been battling through her own journey after finding a lump whilst we were on honeymoon. Breast Cancer Now have been amazing by providing support, help & advice along the way - not just from the beginning but also to this day and for many years into the future.

Cancer treatment has many long term effects that stick around, back in March it had affected Emma to the point where going for a short 5 minute walk would wipe her out for the day. Slowly, slowly she’s been building up her strength until in September she started training to run a 5K to support Breast Cancer Now so they can continue to help other people that are going through this journey.

5K might not seem like a lot to some people but for Emma it’s been a mountain to climb - I couldn’t be more proud of her and I’ll be running alongside to encourage her to keep going. She's also decorated our house, the local estate and even our boys Marmite & Pickles in pink 💖

What do you mean it's September?!

In my head it's been June for the past couple of months. Last week I realised it's August and now this?! What's next - are we skipping Christmas and going straight to Easter?

I've been super busy the past few months since opening up again, meeting new clients and creating epic images. I'm so grateful for every single person that's walked through the doors of my studio and got in front of the lens.

It feels like I've got so many images to get online, so I'd better start sharing them!

It feels SO good to finally be back creating images in the studio. Last week I had the pleasure of welcoming Scarlett Kingsleigh - currently in training at ALRA- North - through the doors for her headshot session.

It's been a rollercoaster of emotions these past few months - flitting between feeling super productive and feeling a little bit frustrated. Overall though I've used the break to think about the images I want to create, the life I want to lead and how I can help the wider community rather than just going from one day to the next.

We shot this image right at the end of the session as a little test using window light and I love how it came out.

It feels strange to be out of the house again, even stranger wearing a mask and shooting at a distance but I just keep in the back of my mind that it’s better to feel a little odd and be safe than ignore everything and hope it goes away.
