So if you were to do a quick google search about how many photographers there are in the Northwest you would get the below :



"There is no single, exact number of real estate photographers in the North West of England, as the market includes a mix of independent specialists, drone operators, and larger property marketing firms. However, there are over 100 identifiable professional property photography services and companies operating across the region, with a high concentration around Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and Lancashire. "



Now you may be thinking to yourself " That's a lot so what makes you different?" . Rest assured that I ask myself this question every day, as being not your "average" photographer is what I pride myself on. The customer experience is pivotal to me in all that I do, no matter what the brief or job. I may be having a bad day but you would never know. I also being extensive knowledge and expertise that I have built up over a considerable number of years ( more than I wish to admit). But that does allow me to deliver a product that is above and beyond expectations.



You may be thinking to yourself " Nice words mark, but we need to see proof", which to be honest is exactly what I would expect. So i have added below just some comments and feed back that I have had from my most recent Real estate work.

"We don't need professional photography, we have our phones or bob from accounts is a photographer, he can do it."

This may seem like a random way to start a post but if I had earned money for every time I have heard this over the last 10+ Years, I'd now be retired and on a luxury yacht in the med!

Photography should always be a forethought and NEVER an afterthought when you begin to realise that Bob in accounts isn't maybe as good as he says!

At this point, it may very well be too late to rescue the image people now have of you as a company and individual, by using below par and visual content that is evident (no matter how professional you have tried to make it look) has been taken using well known mobile devices, any return on investment is far less likely to provide the expected results that are not only forecasted but expected.

Not so bad maybe if you don't have to explain any shortfall to anyone, but if an explanation has to be given to the board, good luck!

One dip in profits, can lead to another and another and another, and as a business , it suddenly becomes unsustainable.

Professional Photography, no matter what the occasion, is one way to capitalise on any investment, and who knows, the exposure may very well change the face of the business and allow you to buy your very own luxury yacht for the med!

As a business owner, it falls to us to provide the security for our workers and their families, it's our decisions that can make or break lives (more so as the cost of living continues to rise) and it also falls on us to provide the opportunity for others to grow by using our products or services.

So when I say to you Distractions, What do you think off? Does is conjure up images of having to do the shopping on a wet and cold November day? Having to do the washing instead of watching the next episode of stranger things?

When selling you home or staging for photographs, its important that distractions in a room are removed as our eye will always be drawn to them.

So with that said, what I thought I would do, as way of advise and help, is to list the top 10 distractions that I come across almost every day (and mostly end up moving to get the best photograph possible) in any home.

1. TV Remote Controls
2. Washing Up Liquid Bottles
3. Hand Sanitizer Bottles
4. Washing in the Washing Machine
5. Dog/Cat beds - remember not everyone is an animal lover
6. Cat Litter Boxes
7. Unwashed Clothes on the Floor
8. Toilet Rolls
9. Bottles of Bleach - Especially as many are pink or yellow!
10. Unwashed Pots in the sink

This is by far not an exhaustive list and is designed to simply bring your attention too them and other things that may cause a distraction.

Think of it like this, if your eyes can see it and you would class it as a distraction, potential buyers will probably agree.

With a little care and attention, you can make the most of showcasing your home to an already captive audience!
