ZZ394/ZZ385/ZZ524 AgustaWestland AW159 Wildcat AH.1 847 Naval Air Squadron, Fleet Air Arm / Royal Marines, RNAS Yeovilton.

'HELLCAT 31/32/33' formed Hellcat Formation, seen here departing Barton after an RRR heading south from Scotland after a month long Exercise Spear.

Interesting to note these 847 NAS cabs now not only carry Army titles on the boom, but have Royal Navy markings on the doors and 847 NAS marks on the nose.

Nice to finally get some Wildcats in sunshine here got to grab every chance you can to see these AH.1 variants, time is running out, fast. So three in nice light at the local was most welcome. This could be the final ones we see here at Barton.

ZK562 and ZK552 Boeing-Vertol Chinook HC.6, 7 Squadron, RAF Odiham, Royal Air Force.

Lifter 1 and 2. a pair of 7 Squadron Chinook HC.6, seen arriving Barton recently, for a RRR for cab and crew. They were en route to Oban in Scotland on exercise for a few days.

I am always trying to get images unlike the normal stuff you see from Tatton. Last Saturday morning in particular, provided some pretty unique opportunities in the heavy mist at sunrise.

The colour has started to burst through this last week as the colder Autumnal conditions started. We have had some sensational light, this last week or two.

Shame this week looks so poor, weather wise. Still happy with my haul from the 2026 rut season so far.

When a parallel walk, turns into a run, then turns into a Rut.

They made us wait until the end of the day. But just myself and one other photographer who had stuck it out. The Monarch of Tatton (on the left here) who is an absolute, unit, with his imperial challenger. Obviously the Monarch ended victorious but it was a decent battle, lasted a good couple of minutes in ridiculous evening light. Typically they only lifted heads when back end on. Still what an epic way to finish a long day. Always an incredible experience watching these beasts, do battle at this time of year.

Autumn has finally arrived, it is starting to cool down, the ground is very wet. Rutting season is well and truly on now. Finally got to see my first one of the year today.
