It has been a little while since I posted any photos I’ve taken whilst covering dog events and training days, so I thought I’d just give a bit of an update.
Last summer was particularly busy with events - it was pretty non stop actually! Whilst it was fabulous to be so busy and meet so many dogs and handlers, this year I have made the difficult decision to significantly reduce the volume of events I cover.
I have enjoyed a bit of a break from photography over the winter and have spent some time considering some new creative projects I would like to spend time working on this year to recharge my batteries! This includes getting back to some wildlife photography which I’ve really missed, and in order to be able to do that I have needed to reduce the event work. There is just not enough hours in the day!
The first new creative project for 2025 was exploring human studio portrait photography. It was so refreshing to do something different and I’m looking forward to finishing the edits! Quite a learning curve but I really enjoyed it!
I’ll still be covering a few events here and there, and working in collaboration with CL canine solutions for a few select events over the summer.
In the meantime, here is an image from Scotland a couple of years ago, I’m looking forward to capturing more images up there very soon and maybe giving the macro lens an outing too!
