Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus.
Happy St David’s Day. ❤️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Today we celebrate more than a saint.
We celebrate who we are.

A small nation with a dragon on its flag.
A beautiful language.

A country that sings louder than those ten times its size.

Through coal dust and chapel hymns.
Through slate quarries and stadium roars.
Through pride. Through hardship. Through history.

We are still here.
And we always will be.

Hi everyone, apologies for the lack of uploads recently. The wind and rain have made it impossible to fly the drone safely. Hopefully the weather improves soon and I can get back out there. Thanks for your patience and support!

Margam Castle is a Victorian Gothic mansion built between 1830 and 1840 by architect Thomas Hopper for Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot. Constructed on the site of a former Cistercian abbey, it replaced earlier Mansel family homes and now stands as a historic landmark in Port Talbot, Wales. The castle is famed for its dramatic architecture, ghostly legends, and its role as the centrepiece of Margam Country Park.

I was recently asked by a local farmer to help determine how much land he owns, as he wasn’t sure exactly how far his boundaries extended. Using AW Drone Photography, we carried out the survey, and the farmer was delighted with the results.

If anyone is looking for fresh eggs or other local produce, please don’t hesitate to visit Redbrest Farm, located in Cymmer, Upper Afan Valley. Supporting local farms makes a real difference! 🥚🌾

Blaengwynfi is a stunning village in the Upper Afan Valley, shaped by its deep coal-mining heritage. Once a thriving mining community, the village grew around the industry that defined life in the valley for generations.

Blaengwynfi railway station opened on 10 May 1890 under the Rhondda and Swansea Bay Railway. Over the years, its name appeared in several forms: Blaen Gwynfi and Blaen-Gwynfi in Bradshaw timetables until 1936, and Blaen Gwynfy on tickets and timetables until 1904. Passenger services ended on 26 February 1968 after the Rhondda Tunnel was declared unsafe, and the station finally closed to goods traffic on 14 December 1970.

Here's a journey back through time! 😢

Remember Oakwood’s early beginnings? A time when family days out, school trips and first-ever rollercoasters filled these grounds with laughter. Well today, large parts of the park sit silent and abandoned.

What was once one of Wales’ most loved attractions is now stripped back, leaving behind empty spaces where memories were once made.

Take a moment to watch, remember, and reflect and if Oakwood was part of your childhood, or you once worked there I’d love to hear your memories in the comments below 👇💬
