: Hello you lovely lot. So some of you may have noticed that I have been pretty quiet on here for the past couple of weeks. Well, on Friday 5th, I coughed and seemingly popped a blood vessel in my eye. My eyesight in my good eye (on the waiting list for my right eye op) wasn't the best and I was pretty sick too. On the Monday, an ambulance took me to a&e, where I was given anti sickness meds and told the eye clinic would call me while I was there. After 6 hours I was sent home with more anti sickness and the promise of a call from the eye clinic on Tuesday. Didn't get the call until 4:57pm on the Wednesday - I was told I had been referred to a specialist and there was no idea when my appointment would come. My mental health was taking a nosedive and John was calling everyone he could think of for any help. It got to Tuesday 16th and he decided to go up to the eye clinic to see if he could get any answers. Not long after he arrived he called me and handed me to the receptionist who asked me a few questions and asked if I could be there for half 1 that day! We went up, did the good old eye test - with my glasses as I use them for distance - and according to John, I could read almost the end line. Then they took some pics. Spoke to the doctor and she gave us the good news. Yes it is only a popped vessel and the reason my eyesight is a little hazy is because the blood 'wiggles' are breaking up and going away. Considering I was in a total panic and expecting the 2 words I didn't want to hear, I came out of there buzzing. I am now back to almost 100% and starting to get back to normal - happy as I missed taking Harley to her first day at school. I want to give a massive shout out and thank you to my wonderful hubby, who despite my mad mental health, kept me (and himself) together, ran around like a mad man to keep this place running, on top of the washing, sorting the girls and was calling everyone for help. I really do appreciate everything he did and could never repay him. Now to get back to me and recover fully (including much tighter diabetes control) and getting me back!
Please be patient - I will be back as soon as possible, doing one of the things I love ❤️
