Who's looking forward to this year Great Central Railway Autumn Diesel Gala!!!

I know I definitely am. With 10 Diesel in traction over 4 amazing days, its currently going to be a great experience.

With 4 Visiting Locomotive in action along side the Home fleet its definitely a event worth visiting.

TheQuornflyer is most looking forward to the Good train Experience with first brake van ride along the Railway, is definitely a bonus footage.

Cant wait to see you all there over the 4 days. With Day 1and 2 at Quorn yard only, Day 3 traveling along the line and Day 4 at favourite spot of Kinchley Ln.

We’re excited to announce that the former Ellis Tearooms at Rothley Station are reopening this Bank Holiday Weekend as the new Ellis Visitor Centre, alongside the final weekend of our Train Tickets for a Tenner offer!

Browse the gift shop for souvenirs, or refuel at the visitor café, serving bacon and sausage baps, toasties, light bites, and 200 Degrees coffee from 11am–3pm on 29th to 31st August.🥪

Spending day with family on the Great Central Railway tickets for a tenner special and got opportunity to ride behind a fantastic locomotive Class 37 No.D6700 the pioneer of the class along the railway.

Seen here leaving Quorn and Woodhouse station with the ex12:00 loughborough Central to Leicester North service.

Dont forget coming soon to Quorn village on August 30th in Stafford Orchard is County Crossroads. Featuring some amazing musicians singing from 1pm -6pm its worth a visit. TheQuornflyer will be in attendance for the event capturing the sound of the country crossroads. Hope to you as many people as can there. Remember the bring a picinc!!
