‘Another’ double whammy wedding weekend, starting with Shanade & Ray’s big day at The Derby Conference Centre on Saturday.

The weather certainly wasn’t kind to us over the Bank Holiday weekend, with plenty of rain meaning we didn’t get outside for photographs. But that didn’t stop us! We made the most of the vast Art Deco spaces inside the venue and captured some truly wonderful couple portraits, including the sweeping staircase.

The venue looked fantastic in their chosen colours and was styled by Stage2Events, the evening entertainment was by the great DJ Daz who knows how to get the party started!

On Monday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Heather & James’ twilight wedding at Morley Hayes and what a brilliant day it was!

Although it was a Monday and a twilight wedding it had all the fun, love and excitement of a Saturday celebration. As you’ll hopefully see from just a small selection of images I’ve managed to narrow down to (a very hard job guys)!

The day began with an outdoor ceremony at Morley Hayes with some very heavy guarded rings, a venue I’ve photographed at countless times over the years before everyone headed inside to continue the celebrations. Providing the soundtrack throughout the day were the brilliant Lazy Marmalade, a fantastic duo who sang during the outdoor ceremony, performed later inside and even kept the music going between their sets. If you’re considering something a little different for your wedding, these guys were absolutely marvellous and boy, could they sing!

Heather & James were surrounded by such a friendly, lively bunch of guests who really embraced the day and helped make it so much fun. There was plenty of laughter, plenty of dancing and of course, plenty of love in the air. Ohhh, and what a way to cut the epic cake!!

And as the evening drew in we even managed to sneak outside for some sparkler fun during blue hour. ✨

As promised, here are your sneak peeks from your wedding day on Friday! ❤️

We started with your ceremony at the ever so beautiful St Mary’s in Temple Balsall, surrounded by your closest family and friends. Afterwards, we headed down to The Malt Shovel for the drinks reception, followed by a superb meal, a few speeches and the all important cake cut.

Then it was onto The West Midlands Golf Course, where the evening celebrations were kicked off in style with the brilliant band.
We also managed to sneak away for some really lovely portraits, including a very moody sunset (ish) shot on the bridge. 🌅
And a big thanks to Pete for stepping in as my lighting assistant! 😂📸

As I prepare for tomorrow’s wedding, I just couldn’t resist putting this one picture up from Laura and Jeremy’s big day on Friday ❤️

They tied the knot in one of the nicest churches I’ve had the pleasure of working in, and a big thank you to Debbie who conducted the ceremony and allowed me full access to capture some truly wonderful photographs throughout the service. This was afterwards, lol.

Taken using just the natural sunlight coming through one of the church’s mighty windows, with the absolute minimum of editing. This really is pretty much straight out of the camera and blessed with such a wonderful church to work with 📷

Your full sneak peeks will be coming ASAP. I’ve got some big drone jobs, a commercial building to do this week and an apartment to photograph before tomorrow’s wedding, so it’s going to be another busy few days and with the usual Tuesday afternoon round of golf ⛳️

Saturday just gone, I had the pleasure of capturing Rachel & Dougie’s big day, having first met them the previous year at Marie & Adam’s wedding. It was lovely to see them again and capture their own special day. ❤️

Another warm and humid day, starting with an 11am ceremony at the historic Beaumanor Hall, before heading over to The Dog & Duck in Shardlow for the afternoon and evening celebrations with their nearest and dearest.

In between we made a little detour into the woods for more photos which is always worth it! 🌿📸

They’d opted for a stretched Hummer limo, which turned out to be a very wise decision with their extended bridal and groom party.

There were also some truly heart-tugging speeches from the younger members of the wedding party. Bravo to you guys, you did brilliantly!

Breadsall Priory Country Club Wedding Fayre

Abi & Ed’s wedding yesterday, on what was no doubt the hottest day of 2026 so far and it was certainly noticeable! 🥵☀️

A wise choice for an outdoor ceremony at the lovely Pippley Walled Gardens in Beeston, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

With the blistering heat and direct sunlight making the walled garden feel even hotter, we moved the formal photographs inside where everyone could escape the heat for a little while. The staff were on hand to look after everyone, including me! 😂 Thanks 🙏

There was an amazing cake too, with a split design featuring a traditional wedding cake alongside four tiers of Harry Potter magic! 🧙‍♂️⚡️🎂 Amazing!

Guests were also treated to a fantastic BBQ and ice cream served from a traditional bike, the perfect combination for such a warm day! 🍦

The second wedding of the double-whammy weekend, and this time it was Holly & Liam’s big day at The Derby Conference Centre, a venue I visit quite a lot!

The Sunken Lounge and ceremony rooms looked fantastic, with the lovely décor and styling they had chosen really bringing everything together.

It was a more intimate wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends, with entertainment later on from the brilliant DJ Daz. The staff at the centre were great as always, and the food was fantastic too!

It was also great to work alongside Zoe, who provided the videography for the day and captured all those extra moments alongside the photography.

A double whammy wedding weekend, starting with Lauren & Mitch’s big day at the beautiful ‘The Ashes Barns’ and was lovely to return once again. ❤️

The venue looked fantastic, with all the rustic charm it has to offer, beautifully complemented by the lovely décor and styling.

Lauren’s brother Sam and Jamie provided the afternoon entertainment with their duo in the courtyard, while a harpist added a beautiful touch to the ceremony. We headed out for some rowing boat photos, capturing some gorgeous dusk shots and of course, I couldn’t forget the Highland cows who were very photogenic for us! 🐄

The tractor was also a firm favourite with both the couple and the children, it’s always great when you can incorporate something a little different into the photos!

The morning preparations absolutely flew by, with hair and make-up by the ladies from Studio 46, and the food from Jenkins was superb once again. The evening entertainment was provided by the great guys from Captain Atlantic Band, who certainly got everyone onto the dance floor! 🎶
