I've always been fond of composition and the beauty of photography both still and in film, but what I love more than anything is the "moment". I've spent the last 7 years working in a top drama school, teaching students how to use cameras - both DSLRs and high
end video, giving my advice on how best to achieve what they are looking for and what tools to use to accomplish them. Having seen some of the work that my students have produced over the years, I wondered whether any of the work I was producing myself may have been any good. Well, it turns out that people seem to like it. I like to capture all sorts of things. I love landscapes and I love people. That's exactly why I don't like to restrict myself to one type of photography. I like to think that my style is dependant on what I get to know. I like to absorb myself in my surroundings or people. I get to know what I want to photograph before I even start snapping. That's why if I take family pictures, weddings or even nature, I take the time to get to know the people or surroundings.
