Elle - Flore House - April 2025

It's been a while since I shared anything (work has been pretty crazy), but found a little time to edit this image of Elle and her amazingly voluminous sparkly dress at Flore House from back in April.

I've followed Elle's modelling career since she first started a few years back and always wanted to shoot with her as she's from close to where I grew up in Lincoln. Really glad we finally met up as she's very lovely to work with, friendly, professional and (of course) stunning! πŸ₯°

Lucia - Flore House - April 2025

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of shooting with Lucia, Daizy and Elle at Flore House, a beautiful Grade II listed 17th century Jacobean hunting lodge in Northamptonshire. It was a lovely sunny day and with lots of scope for natural light photography both inside and outside the house between the box-hedged borders, under the branches of an ancient cedar or against the bath stone walls where the wisteria was just coming into flower. Thanks to Andrew and LPS, we had three models (non of which I've worked with before) and only six togs giving us plenty of time to explore ideas and walk the grounds.

Andy and the girls had brought six dresses, some evening/cocktail wear, some very sumptuous and luxurious, but all very much in-keeping with the decadent lifestyle and setting we were imaging for our story.

I love this first image of Lucia. Taken in the drawing room of the main house, she's wearing a fitted floor-length evening gown of soft rose-mauve with Art Deco inspired sequin embellishments and luxurious oversized ruffle sleeves.

Third image of Emma at ShutterHouse Studios. Going for a more fashion inspired look this time. Still 100% natural light from large windows at only one end of the room. Because of this, there is quite a bit of falloff from right to left, but still just about manageable.

Emma - March 2025

On Saturday, I spent a very enjoyable few hours photographing Emma at ShutterHouse Studios in Barnet as part of a recent LPS event. The room appeared to be a converted workshop with a few home comforts (the owner lives there) offering a number of interesting areas for natural light photography. Emma was wearing a boho style top and linen skirt which inspired me to gather together a few props in order to build the composition you see in this image. Emma's a total superstar and knew exactly what I was after here.

Also really happy to finally get to try out a my new Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2 lens and boy was it amazing! Super fast, sharp as hell and eye detection locked immediately every time. I happily shot at f/1.2 all afternoon! πŸ™ƒ

Dancing in the Deep - August 2024

First underwater image from last month's TankSpace shoot. When I posted some similar photography a few years back, think some people had difficulty believing the models were actually underwater! Let me reassure you that they most definitely are and that not only is it incredibly tiring, but that it takes a lot of skill to look as serene as Kate does in such an alien environment. Despite the fact that such a large volume of heated water in a small indoor space made it feel like we were working in a tropical jungle, the photography really is the easy bit! 😁🐟🌊

Francesca - May 2024 πŸ¦‹

This fourth image from the shoot at The Roost in Hackney features the very lovely Francesca. On the first floor, a set of partition doors helped divide two large rooms. With their chipped and battered paintwork and rusted cross-bars they'd clearly seen better days. However, their neutral colours were just what was needed to make Francesca's amazing red hair really glow. ❀️
