This is the story of how I accidentally built a publication in 7 months 😳
Earlier this year I worked with the fabulous - a pinch me moment for some who had fallen HARD for F1.
But we needed somewhere to publish the images. They were great and Laura deserved to be celebrated. We needed somewhere that understood the importance of fashion and motorsport.
Could I find anywhere?!!
So rather than going “oh well…” I did what I do best and decided to do it myself.
I’ve always been the kind of person to make my own luck, so creating a publication felt no different.
I had all the skills I needed to get it started.
I didn’t expect much from it honestly! It was a fun idea that I could tinker away at for a few months and see what happened. A way for me to get my foot in the door as a photographer.
But then it EXPLODED and within DAYS I was getting recognition from industry professionals and opportunities placed at my door that I NEVER thought would happen.
All because I saw a gap and decided to fill it.
It’s all still new and I’m still finding my feet, but this is no longer a bit of fun. It’s a career! I am a founder and I want to share more about what that means.
So Esme Buxton Photography still exists, I still shoot with brands and I still work as a photographer.
But I also want to bring you along for the TPJ ride. It’s a fun one!
