I’ve been in a weird headspace with this account lately. When you’re a creative, there’s pressure to nail your personal brand/aesthetic and always be posting your work.

It feels like I have to make a choice between a “business” account or a personal one. To either post selfies or photos I’ve taken. I thought about making two accounts, but that doesn’t seem right either.

So this is a commitment to my non-commitment. Sometimes I take photos of myself, and sometimes I take photos of other people! And I can’t always guarantee what’s going to show up. Better to live life than curate it! 📸

Exactly 100 years ago, (white) women were given the right to vote.

In 1965, only 55 years ago, Black women were given the right to vote.

And now, in 2020, we have our first Black woman elected to nearly the highest office in the land. 🙌🏼

Here’s to the symbolic end of the reign of hatred that has terrorized our country the last 4+ years.

Here’s to hope that we can begin building a future where EVERYONE is allowed to thrive and old paradigms are destroyed to make way for something better.

PS - my student loan balance better be at $0 by tonight 😂
