Day 1: Islamabad → Naran
- *Distance*: ∼240km, 6-7 hours via Hazara Motorway + KKH
- *Route*: Islamabad → Mansehra → Balakot → Kiwai → Naran
- *Highlights*: Kunhar River, Kiwai Waterfall, pine forests
- *Stay*: Naran. Weather is cool even in summer.
Day 2: Naran → Skardu
- Distance: ∼280km, 10-12 hours via Babusar Pass + KKH + Skardu Road
- *Route*: Naran → Babusar Pass 4173m → Chilas → Jaglot → Skardu
- *Highlights*: Babusar Pass views, Indus River meeting point at Jaglot, mountain scenery
-Stay: Skardu City. Long drive, so start early 5am.
Day 3: Skardu City Tour*
- *Kachura Lake / Shangrila Lake*: 25km from Skardu, resort + heart-shaped lake
- Upper Kachura Lake: 30km, more pristine, turquoise water
- Sadpara Lake: 9km, beautiful dam lake with mountains
Shigar Fort: 32km, 400-year-old heritage hotel/fort in Shigar Valley
