Mums, please get in the photographs too. 🤍

You might not feel particularly camera ready a few days or weeks after giving birth, and that’s completely understandable. But your baby isn’t going to look back at these photographs and notice whether you’d had enough sleep or whether you felt like yourself yet.

They’re going to see their mum holding them when they were tiny enough to fit against her chest. I’ll guide you with everything so you don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. That bit is my job.

Whether it was a very lovely dream or impeccable timing, I’ll take it.

I love adding a few sweet little details to newborn sessions, but your baby will always be the focus. Simple colours, soft textures and a tiny face you’re going to spend far too much time staring at anyway.

Monday mood summed up perfectly. 😂

Tiny cardigan on, eyes firmly shut and already absolutely exhausted by the demands of the week. Newborn sessions are full of these little expressions and they’re often the photographs parents end up loving most because you just can’t plan them.

What if my baby won't sleep?

One of the most common questions I get asked.

I never expect your little one to sleep when I demand it. I don't demand sleep! Newborns spend a lot of time sleeping naturally and my sessions allow plenty of time for wakeful periods, as well as top up feeds and cuddles.

It's never just about handing your baby over and they need to sleep straight away.

Plus I love to get a couple of awake shots too, while we are waiting for them to nod off.
