A bit of a delayed post, but still just as exciting, Letters from the Blue picked up the Best International Directors award at the Asti International Film Festival late last year! It was an absolute privilege to travel to this beautiful town, birthplace of the great musician Paolo Conte, receive the prize, and connect with so many brilliant filmmakers from around the world. Developed over 12 months and published online today, the Yazidi Cultural Archives aim to support female Yazidi survivors of the 2014 genocide in northern Iraq through the creation of a permanent digital repository of Yazidi culture.

Leveraging the known psychological benefits of group support, artistic engagement, and cultural validation, the project directly supported the 16 participants - survivors who lived in internally displaced persons camps in Duhok Province, Iraq - and will now be used by Yazda for much wider psychosocial support programmes.
