Across the final images, warm and cooler grading tones sit in dialogue around Tamta, shaping the atmosphere. Whilst in the complex compositing stage we have brought everything together, carrying the lighting and the colours across all the elements, the retouching stays subtle, allowing texture, scan imperfections, and sculptural detail to remain present as Pascal intended.

The project began in London with a clear CGI framework already developed by Pascal, including lighting design and early environment pre-visualisation. On set, Tamta held complete stillness as we supported the long scanning sequences, a level of patience and commitment that became essential to the process. In post-production, scans were refined, rebuilt, and intentionally left with fragments and distortions to reflect Tamta’s state of permanent transformation and to metaphorically reflect her resistance against music algorithms,. The CGI environment was then constructed from scratch across modelling, sculpting, lighting, and texturing.

Blending portraiture, photography, CGI, and body scanning, Recom Farmhouse London collaborated with Pascal Schonlau on the 40th issue cover story of Georgian-born singer Tamta for Le Mile Magazine. We merged the studio shoot, 3D scans and CGI sets into a single environment where Tamta’s identity is continuously split, repeated, and reformed.

Architecture, atmosphere, and a sense of what’s next… Recom Paris created the new Renault Filante in CGI, working closely with Renault to match their backplates. Shaping the precise, futuristic environment with low sunlight adds warmth, depth and a natural sense of possibility to this campaign launching the model in Korea.

Retouching a return trip for one of the year’s most talked-about airport campaigns: Nick Meek for Uber.
It’s always refreshing to go back to the basics: a sharp concept, a perfect studio shot, and images made in camera with the creatives. After the studio shoot in London, Recom Farmhouse matched the bold and vivid colour grade of the original campaign so the whole series lands perfectly.
