Official No Trousers Tube Ride

Today 11th January 2026, Londoners took part in the annual 'No Trousers Tube Ride, a lighthearted event where participants rode the Underground in their underwear.
Inspired by New York's 'No Pants Subway Ride, the tradition began in London in 2009 and has grown in popularity, with similar events now held in cities around the world. Swipe
Participants met in Chinatown before heading to Tube stations, braving freezing temperatures and raising a few eyebrows along the way. The goal of the event is to bring humour and break the monotony of the daily commute, with participants acting as if riding trouserless is completely normal.
Organiser Dave Selkirk emphasised its simplicity: "It's just a bit of fun to brighten the day." While the event is meant to amuse, organisers reminded everyone to keep things respectful and light-hearted.
The 'No Trousers Tube Ride' has become a quirky tradition, bringing a moment of levity to London's winter routine.
