Happy world mental health day!

Mental health is just as important as our physical health.

Some call mental health ‘emotional health’ or ‘well-being’ and it’s just as important as good physical health.

We all have times when we feel uncertain or powerless or stressed or anxious or frighten. It's ok.

I had a challenging time after losing my grandmother, love relation and a few deaths in our family. It was a very difficult time taking care of myself. However, I promise you, every baby step we take counts and leads you towards the light of the tunnel.

Everyone is different. You may bounce back from a setback while someone else may feel weighed down by it for a long time.

Your mental health doesn’t always stay the same. It can change as circumstances change and as you move through different stages of your life.

There’s a stigma attached to mental health problems. This means that people feel uncomfortable about them and don’t talk about it. Many people don’t even feel comfortable talking about their feelings. But it’s healthy to know and say how you’re feeling.

Sisterhood is all about reconnecting and taking care of yourself. Helping and supporting each other.

Mind - Body - Heart

I have used various techniques and tools to manage my mental health. One of them is going for a mindful walk. The mindful walk has been useful for past for 3 years and has given me space and time for self-awareness.

Next year in 2019 - I am planning to organise - free monthly mindful walks around London parks for our sisters and hope this will be helpful. The mindful walk will about 30 - 45 min (approx 3- 5 Km). If there's a beautiful park around your area then please suggest the route and we can explore together.

Mindful walking is an excellent way to clear your mind and restore your sense of focus and energy.

Please feel free to use this beautiful space we created to share anything that you would feel beneficial to our sisters.

Thank you to all our beautiful attendees at yesterday’s first Sisterhood event!

We are incredibly grateful that you made space to come and spend the morning with us, and we hope you’re proud of yourselves for carving out that time just for you. We were overwhelmed by the energy and openness each of you brought to the activities. It was great to see the spirit of Sisterhood in action!
