Rainy weddings! This is your reminder that rainy weddings are beautiful too. If you’re facing a wet day this week, don’t panic. It might not be what you hoped for, but if you can let go of the disappointment and embrace the classic British weather, you can get some really beautiful shots and concentrate on enjoying your day for what it is.
Tips:
1. Allow yourself to be sad about it briefly, and then let it go. It’s out of your control, don’t let the disappointment ruin your day.
2. Embrace it! Your dress and shoes will get dirty. Accept it and your photos will be better and more creative for it.
3. Hire some clear or white brollies (or if you’re a colour loving couple, go for that - whatever feels more you)
4. Remember that most of the time, it doesn’t rain heavily, solidly, for the whole day. It’s fits and starts and we can work fluidly and take opportunities when we can for photos.
5. Pop out for nighttime shots!
6. Photographers: get creative with flash, slow shutter, and OCF behind the couple to light up the raindrops.
