After spending 2 days at windermere and seeing the beauty of this place, there was something that was stopping me from swimming a feeling of danger a sign not to enter that was invisible, a connection to something that was telling me not to enter, walking around the lake i noticed nothing but water, what i mean is no life, no fish, no water plants, no birds that hunt fish, no fish jumping, nothing just a large dark body of water, researching at home i’ve discovered the feeling i had wasn’t in my head, and i quote from google “Windermere seems dangerous due to significant sewage and agricultural pollution, which leads to high levels of illness-causing bacteria and harmful blue-green algal blooms in the water, especially during warmer summer months. These conditions increase the risk of gastro-intestinal illness for swimmers and can be deadly for dogs” and also “ The White Horse of Windermere is, as legend has it, a warning. It’s said that whenever there is imminent danger to the surrounding area, a ghostly white horse will walk from one shore of the lake to the other. Take heed of the horse’s warning at your peril! “
I kid u not i saw this white horse every morning out on the lake, in the mist that carried its way down the lake.
On reflection it’s unreal what these sewage companies have done to our waterways, and also i sign to one’s self when u have a feeling something’s wrong believe that feeling.
