Not feeling confident enough?

There are lots of reasons why people don’t feel ready for a shoot, but lack of confidence is the main one.

Wanna know the secret to being ready?

No one ever turns up to a shoot feeling confident.

(Ok, professional models do, but I’m not talking about them)

All you need to do to turn up? Just be brave.

And have some confidence in me :)

Your confidence usually shows up a few minutes into the shoot... and you’re realise YOU ALWAYS HAD IT.

Shooting with natural light in London can occasionally be a real challenge. These shots were taken on the shortest day of last year, under a gloomy sky. Without those big windows, I’d have needed a flash. Sure, those would have been some cool photos, but they wouldn’t have had the same soft, dark, and moody vibe as these 🌚

~ Finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for

I used to get annoyed at my camera’s occasional autofocus failure. Then one day it happened yet again, and I realised... hang on... this out-of-focus photograph is actually amazing. A gift from the camera!

Now I sometimes blur the photo on purpose, creating a soft, dreamlike atmosphere. Here’s to happy accidents!

People often say that suspenders are complicated and intimidating... but we think its really just a matter of what you’re used to. What’s most important is that you’re comfortable during your shoot, and that you feel like “you”.

A big part of how we run our bo***ir sessions is creating that comfortable and safe environment where your authenticity will shine, whatever outfit you’re wearing ✨

Roses... classic? Or cheesy? 🐁 I’d say don’t mock it until you’ve tried it!

I don’t normally use props in my photography, because they often distract from the essence of the subject. But sometimes not! Props can add story to a photograph, and playful photoshoots are often the most creative one.
