Many images I have been posting, including these, are from the series called Shifting Seasons in which I have been trying to capture the transient beauty and fleeting transitions of seasons as they shift from one to another. The essence of summer is in the vibrant colours, golden light, abundance...

As the spring slowly turns into summer, the colours become more and more vibrant. The display of azaleas and rhododendrons in Richmond Park was spectacular yet again.

This is all a part of my project I called Shifting Seasons I have been trying to work on and off for a few years now. Trying to capture the essence of each season and how they gradually change from one another in a never-ending and ever-so-amazing circle.

I think that this year's bluebell season was spectacular. I managed to get out a couple of times and experience this beauty that nature conjures up every year. Though there was no ethereal fog, the light, the colours of the woodland carpet, the beautiful smell of these dainty flowers made the mornings truly magical for me.

I went to the Wood of Flowers.
(No one was with me):
I was there alone for hours.
I was happy as could be.

In the Wood of Flowers
There was grass on the ground,
There were buds on the tree,
And the wind had a sound

Of such gaiety,
That I was as happy
As happy could be,
In the Wood of Flowers.
