Please remember folks that every £1.00 you donate from midday today until midday on the 8th December will be doubled if you donate via the Orangutan Foundation Website, this is a great opportunity to help this organisation protect the Orangutans in Borneo. While I was there in 2019 a tree costs about £1.75 so if you donate £2.00 today that's enough to plant 2 trees by the time it is doubled. Thank you, everyone.

Mark it in your diary, The Big Give Christmas Challenge is less than a month away!

If you donate between midday Tuesday 1st December and midday Tuesday 8th December, your contribution to orangutan conservation will go twice as far! We rely on the generosity of our followers and supporters in order to provide assistance for orangutan rescues, orangutan orphans, and orangutans in the wild. Large or small, we greatly appreciate any help you can give to celebrate the Foundation's 30th year of conservation work in the field.

Donations eligible to be doubled must be made directly through our Big Give webpage. Please search the the following link for more details- www.orangutan.org.uk/news-events.

Nice to see my image along with other fantastic bird images in the daily mail online today. This is the competition where I came third place and it is run to raise funds for the RSPB. There are some lovely images in this article

Photographer Ravi Parvatharaju beat off entries from all over the globe to land the top prize with his picture of a hassled kingfisher trying to feed his two chicks.

I was very pleased to hear today that I was awarded 3rd place with image "Misty Heron" and a highly commended image with "Following Mum" in the SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year competition 2020. This competition is run to raise funds for the RSPB and had around 2200 entries this year so pleased to have been selected. Good news during lockdown.

No award winning photos here but nice to see a local Short eared Owl. Very low light 16000 ISO, hand held at 650mm, f5.6

If any of my photo friends out there are looking for a quality photo album, I would strongly recommend Saal Digital. I recently ordered an album from them with an acrylic cover from their professional range. The quality of this album is outstanding with good quality paper used. The ordering process is easy with their Saal software once you get used to it and delivery was in record time. Customer service has been very good. So if you need an album try them. Keep safe everyone
