How is it 3 weeks since summit day? I had the best time hosting it and got such great responses from everyone who attended - which has been 800 people now, wild!

And on International Women’s Day I’d also like to thank all the awesome women I’ve met in the last couple of years in the Squarespace world and the speakers who spoke at my summit. You all rock, big time!!!

One of the main things that came back when I asked for feedback was that you wanted to have more breaks haha - as in even a lunchbreak.

I LEGIT didn’t think anyone but me would be there for the whole day and it kind of makes me stunned in wonder that so many people showed up for the whole day.

So yeah, of course people would need a break - so I will definitely factor that in for next year.

Because yes I do want to host my second summit at the same time next year.

I’m also thinking of asking my audience if they’d like to submit their design process and I’ll pick one or two people to present their process to inspire us all - more on this at the end of the year when I’ll be looking at the speaker lineup.

Meeting up with people in your industry as a solo business owner is just the best thing for building community, friendships and also really helpful for growing your business.

As in, after some really cool chats, I fixed 2 things on my website that had been bugging me for ages that I’d just loosely mentioned to two ppl and they showed me how to sort them.

I LOVE LOVE arranging get togethers between my friends and I really wanted to start doing the same with my fellow Squarespace Designers so I decided to actually do something about it.

I’ve now arranged 2 in person meet-ups in London with Squarespace Designers and they came from all over the UK, London / Cotswolds / Cambridge / Newcastle and more.

The first pic was taken at this last meetup on the Friday just gone and the second one was taken in October last year. All epic people.

This brings me on to deciding to create something a little more interactive and online.

I wanted to bring some of the designers I’ve met in real life and virtually together to share all of our best tips and tricks to create awesome websites from design processes to how to grow our web design businesses.

Honestly I am not one to promote stuff that much, I’m usually pretty quiet about what I have going on but you would be mad to miss this event if you’re into Squaresoace and want to get better and grow your business.

I’ve very happily and shockingly managed to get an insane lineup of some of my fave experts in the Squarespace world to speak for free and share their mad skills with you.

It’s going to be so much fun, super informal and I will try to not let my head explode by managing all the tech for my very first summit.

My 3 Top Tips to Update your Website QUICKLY & EASILY

1.) Use a more modern font. Changing your fonts is the quickest way to freshen things up.

2.) Freshen up your colour palette. Add a new highlight colour to make it pop.

3.) New photos. Book yourself a brand Photoshoot to add some newness on your site - just like Kat did here.
