I love the work of Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and know how she inspired the series I did on time and tide shot on the river Thames …
I love the darkness with flashes of white …
When I studied history of art at school I always loved the work of Fantin Latour … groups of men dressed in dark suits with flashes of white collars jumping out …. Even his paintings of ceramics “a cup of champagne “ has similarities with the work I saw yesterday

I wish I knew the name of this wonderful character I came across in the street … he was trying to explain something and he was wearing tartan ! … must brush up on my Spanish
