Camera Intelligence An AI-powered Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera that attaches to your phone. https://cameraintelligence.com/

I think camera technology is about to go through a major change.

Cameras have barely changed in 20 years. The sensors got a little better, but the workflow didn't, and people who post three, four, five times a week expect more than that now.

Caira gives you a Micro Four Thirds sensor and interchangeable lenses, and because it snaps onto your phone, every photo and video is ready to edit straight away. Follow along to see what we're building next.

Horse Guards, a quiet morning, and a camera that fits in a coat pocket.

Yes, the iPhone is always on you. But a sensor 400% bigger than its own is what makes the difference in light like this.

Caira gives you that sensor, a real lens, and the phone as the screen. Nothing else to carry.

Every Tuesday and Sunday we're posting photographs taken on Caira, straight out of camera. No Lightroom and no generative edits - just the files as they were captured, with a Smart Style where we say so.

If you shoot on Caira, send us your high-res photos by DM or at [email protected] and we'll feature you and tag you.

Two updates are coming to Caira next week.

The first is a longer Wi-Fi range, which you've been asking us for for a couple of months now. The second lets you use Caira as a we**am over USB-C: pick it from the camera menu on your next Zoom call.

A quick sneak peek before the full update.

If you've got a favourite lens, this is how it ends up on your phone.

Micro Four Thirds mount, over 100 native lenses, and adapted Canon, Nikon and vintage glass on top.

Owners keep telling us about lenses that were sitting in a drawer. This is what they were waiting for.

Brick wall, black camera, one click.

The bit that used to eat an evening - card out, laptop on, export - now happens on the walk home, because every frame lands in the iPhone's camera roll as you shoot.

Owners tell us that is the thing they'd miss most.

From Wednesday's conversation with . The aim is fewer steps between the shutter and the share, with the file on your phone the moment it's taken.
